Overview

The Lenovo IdeaPad V145-15AST is a budget 15.6-inch laptop for basic office work, web browsing, and email. In this configuration, it uses an AMD A6-9225 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a 128 GB SSD. The hardware is modest, but the SSD helps daily responsiveness for light tasks.

Design and Build

The chassis uses black textured plastic. Build quality is acceptable for the price, though body rigidity is limited and the materials feel simple. The screen opens up to 180 degrees, which is useful for flexible desk positioning. There is no optical drive, and the battery is built in.

Display, Audio, and Webcam

The matte Full HD panel helps reduce reflections, but brightness and contrast are limited, and viewing angles are narrow because of the TN panel type. It is more comfortable indoors than outside. The two speakers are usable for voice and casual media, but volume and bass are modest. The 0.3 MP webcam is basic and mainly suitable for simple video calls.

Keyboard and Input

The island-style keyboard has no backlight but includes a numeric keypad. Key feedback is clear with short travel, and the layout is practical for everyday typing. The touchpad is compact, responsive, and supports multitouch gestures reliably.

Performance, Ports, and Battery

With a dual-core AMD A6-9225, integrated Radeon R4 graphics, and 4 GB of RAM, this model is best for light workloads such as documents, browsing, and communication tools. It is not designed for heavy multitasking or demanding creative work. Port selection is practical for office use, including HDMI and RJ-45. The 30 Wh battery is rated for about seven hours of web browsing in light use.

Verdict

The Lenovo IdeaPad V145-15AST is a low-cost laptop focused on essentials. Its main strengths are the SSD, matte Full HD screen, and practical port set. The main compromises are limited processing headroom, an entry-level webcam, and a basic display experience. It is a sensible option for users who need a simple, affordable work machine and can accept modest performance.
